Altered Art

In addition to my fused glass work, I also create altered art jewelry.  In my altered art jewelry, I combine objects and images to evoke an emotional response in the viewer. My favorite themes are whimsy, wanderlust and our journey through this life.

I make pendants, earrings, rings and bracelets.  In addition, I  create pieces using recycled bottles that I’ve flattened in my kiln. They become the canvas I create on. These pieces become wall art or magnets. I call them Altered Bottles.

I enjoy working on these pieces and find the work relaxing as my sub conscious picks and chooses the bits and pieces to combine in a way that stirs the soul.  I present them here, for you, and hope they will speak to  you as well.

No two pieces are alike and each takes me many  hours to assemble. I add bits and remove bits, arrange them and rearrange them, until the piece seems ‘right’.
